Just had to write and let you know how much we enjoyed La Torretta. Five days just was not enough. The house is absolutely beautiful and better than even the website can show. We had friends who came to stay for a night with us and they were also completely in love with La Torretta. Everything about the house was wonderful. It is equipped superbly in every way and Merrick, your new bathroom was just wonderful! The kitchen was just so delightful with every possible thing one could ever require. The bed in the main bedroom was so comfortable, something which we have realised, is not to be underestimated in Italy!

We were blessed with perfect weather and would no doubt
have returned much fitter and slimmer from all the walking if we hadn't
also spent so much time lying in the sun, eating and drinking -- I
couldn't have dreamed it better. Even without the evidence of the
visitors' books (which read like a novel!) I would suspect our
experience was typical. I feel very privileged to have been able to spend time in
such a wonderful space.

You provided a priceless vacation with my two daughters that I will always treasure. La Torretta is a very special place that we thoroughly enjoyed. You and your family are extraordinary hosts to guests. I could have stayed the whole week right on the patio under the bamboo just soaking in the marvelous view from sunrise to sunset. We were so enthralled with the area and the villa that we hope to come again next year.

La Torretta, a piece of heaven! David and I had an absolutely marvellous time at La Torretta this summer. It was just the type of vacation we needed; quiet and relaxing. We spent most of our days enjoying the ever-changing view, playing Scrabble, reading novels and feasting on the cuisine. [...] Thanks for encouraging us to visit your lovely home. I love La Torretta, the mountains, the waterfalls, the prosciutto
ham and bread, and the friendliness of the locals. On Easter Monday,
Claire and I were searching in vain in Barga for some bread. One
café was open and the owner went into his kitchen and halved his
freshly baked family loaf!

What a glorious place! We have stayed in various homes - Normandy,
Brittany, Loire Valley, Provence, Bath, Cornwall. All were lovely, but
none can compare to La Torretta!! You Falls are one lucky family, and
we are all lucky guests.

The kids enjoyed the space to run around in. Beds are comfortable,
kitchen well-equipped, and we have not had nearly enough time. We
would highly recommend this to anyone with high expectations.
